Black ink marbling through water

Moldybones Tattoo Studio

Ink that settlesin the bone

A new private studio built on heavy blackwork, slow line work, and tattoos drawn for one body only. Every piece starts as a conversation and a sketch, never a flash sheet pulled off a wall.

Moldybones is a studio for people who already know what they want to carry.

Custom only

No repeats, no reused designs. Each drawing is made for the person wearing it and retired afterwards.

Heavy black

Solid saturation and deliberate negative space, built to stay readable twenty years from the first session.

Slow sessions

One client a day. Long appointments, real breaks, and a room that stays quiet while the work gets done.

Portfolio

Selected work

A short cut of recent pieces, healed and fresh. Larger projects and references are shared during consultation.

The artist

Echo, behind the machine at Moldybones

Echo built Moldybones out of nine years spent at other people's benches — conventions, guest spots, and long days learning how black ink actually behaves in skin. The studio is the first room built entirely around her way of working.

The work leans gothic and ornamental: skulls, botanicals, serpents, blackletter, and heavy ornamental fields that follow the body rather than fight it. Everything is drawn by hand before a machine is switched on.

Sessions are one-to-one. You get the room, the playlist, and as many breaks as the piece needs.

How it works

From first message to healed ink

  1. 01

    Enquiry

Send placement, size, and the idea in your own words. References welcome, finished designs from elsewhere are not.

  2. 02

    Consultation

We talk it through in the studio or on a call, check the body for flow, and agree on scope, sessions, and a deposit.

  3. 03

    Drawing

The design is drawn for your body only. You see it before the needle, and one round of changes is built into the price.

  4. 04

    Session

One client per day. Stencil, breaks whenever you need them, and the whole piece worked in a single unbroken block.

  5. 05

    Healing

You leave with written aftercare and a check-in at four weeks. Touch-ups on healed work are free for a year.

The studio

A private room, not a shop floor

Moldybones is a closed studio: dim light, a locked door, and no walk-in traffic passing behind your chair. Bring one person with you if it helps, and eat before you arrive.

Private tattoo studio room with a single lamp

Single-use everything

Sterile cartridges, disposable tubes, and a fully barriered station set up fresh in front of you.

One client a day

No overlapping appointments, so a session can run long without anyone being rushed out of the chair.

Aftercare that works

Second-skin on the day, written instructions to take home, and a four-week check-in on healing.

Clear terms

Deposits hold the date and come off the final total. Reschedules are fine with 48 hours notice.
